  • Exciting new beginnings at St Aldhelm's

    It was a really exciting day as we welcomed our new Reception Robins as part of our transition to St Aldhelm’s. The weather was glorious and we enjoyed lots of play in the sunshine as well as creative fun inside. Parents and Carers were able to meet and chat too. Some children didn’t want to go home but are really looking forward to coming back to play next week! #learningtogether

We have looked at inspiring people including Rob Burrow, Emma Raducanu and Max Woosey and considered how we can be changemakers like them.   • Maya inspired masks

    Falcons have been researching, designing and creating masks inspired by those from Maya culture. They applied their knowledge of the Maya and other civilisations to design either death, celebration or warrior masks to wear into battle. They had a range of materials to select from and are using these to build up the layers. We can't wait to see the final masks.

  • Pollination in action 🐝

    This week Owls have been learning about pollination in science with some amazing hands on learning to help the learning to stick!  They made bees and used their knowledge to show the process using these and “pollen” (cheese powder). The children then drew the process into their own comic strip. Well done Owls 🐝
