Consultation relating to changes to the Oversubscription Criteria

Following guidance from the Diocese, the Governing Body of St Aldhelm’s VA Church Primary School have removed the following faith-based oversubscription criteria from our admissions arrangements for the year 2025 - 2026.

Children who themselves, or whose parent, attends a service of worship at St Aldhelm’s Church, Doulting or St Bartholomew’s Church, Cranmore at least once per month and have done so for the twelve months prior to submitting the admission application. ‘In the event that during the period specified for attendance at worship the church, has been closed for public worship and has not provided alternative premises for that worship, the requirements of these admissions arrangements in relation to attendance will only apply to the period when the church or alternative premises have been available for public worship’.
